Our project with the tropical fruit processing factory “FrutaSa” in Brazil is progressing. Civil reconstruction of the factory has been completed and the factory is now being refurbished with new fruit processing equipment. An extensive training programme with the indigenous fruit collectors has been established.
The project is financed by ICCO, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Dutch Government and attracts substantial attention from the international development community. Hence the results will be disseminated during the Rio+20 Sustainable Development Conference organized in Rio de Janeiro from 20-22 June, 2012.
